Torrent Sound is where I put the songs I can't leave alone.
My name is Frederik Damhus. I write songs, sing, play guitar and spend an unreasonable amount of time thinking about tiny details that most people will probably never notice.
Torrent Sound started as a recording project, but somewhere along the way it became something bigger. A group of musicians, producers and friends have gradually found their way into it, and in August 2026 we released our first album, Helpless.
I love making records. But I probably love everything around them just as much.
Rehearsing a song for hours and suddenly discovering what it wants to be. Changing an arrangement because one note feels wrong. Recording rehearsals in my kitchen. Building and rebuilding pedalboards. Sending unfinished versions to people I trust. Playing a song live and realizing that it has become something completely different from the version on the record.
That is what I want this page to be about.
I'll share finished music here, obviously. But also rehearsal recordings, demos, new songs, experiments, things that didn't work, things that suddenly did, stories from making the music and probably an unreasonable amount of nerding about microphones, pedals, arrangements and sound.
And hopefully this can become a small community around the music too. I'd love to use it for intimate concerts, early versions of new songs and things that don't really belong on Spotify or Instagram.
Basically: less promotion, more music.
